Responsibilities:

  • Directly leads a team of technical experts
  • The role is to take control of technical issues across the specific customer contracts, and to make key decisions and recommendations with regard to the protection and restoration of service
  • To take ownership of the consolidated technical response to major incidents where severe impact on the user community is encountered, and direct proceedings to recover service
  • To provide an understanding of the service and business impact of any major issue and communicate to all parties as appropriate
  • To build a strong link between the IT Managed Services (ITMS) Hub and in country technical support peers to ensure services are delivered consistently and efficiently to all ITMS customer contracts
  • To gain and maintain a detailed understanding of the end to end service solution in place for the specific ITMS contracts supported both from the strategic hubs, and interface with the ITMS functional technical support teams in country to ensure their knowledge remains current and to a high standard
  • To provide technical leadership to the Operational teams including Application, Infrastructure, Oracle, and SQL DBA support
  • Ensure procedures and working practices conform to ITIL standards
  • Has responsibility for maintaining a low risk profile to the Service Operations Technical Management


Requirements:

College/University degreeITIL foundation accreditedDetailed technical experience multiple service oriented areas – expectation of 6+ years of senior relevant technical experienceMust have detailed understanding of infrastructure, applications, database, networks technologies (Oracle, SQL, DBA knowledge)
Excellent customer relationship skillsExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsStrong Leadership, Staff Management skills and experience
